2013 Dodge Dart to Offer Wireless Charging
The Dodge Dart returns with an option that will make tangled, unsightly power cords a thing of the past. Through its Mopar Division, Chrysler will offer in-vehicle wireless charging on the all-new 2013 Dart.
“At Mopar, we look for every single opportunity to make our customers’ lives easier,” said Pietro Gorlier, President and CEO of Mopar, Chrysler Group LLC’s service, parts and customer-care brand. “Our industry-first in-vehicle wireless charging system is the perfect solution for those connected customers who are always on the go.”
For $199.99, plus the cost of installation, Dodge dealers will install a power bin, equipped with a built-in charging grid, into the well in front of the vehicle’s console. The price includes a special case that will enable the phone to be charged whenever the car is started. iPhones, Blackberry, MP3 players and Droid-based devices will be compatible.
The 2013 Dodge Dart goes on sale later this year.
