2013 Ford F-150 Debuts With Technology Upgrades
A mild makeover for the Ford F-150, the country's top-selling lineup of pickup trucks. Upgrades for 2013 include new front-end styling, optional high-intensity discharge (HID) headlamps and new 18- and 20-inch wheels that are offered in various trim packages. Also new, MyFord Touch which interfaces with the SYNC voice-activated communications and entertainment system. A trio of new colors are now available, including Blue Jean Metallic, Kodiak Brown Metallic and Ruby Red Clearcoat Metallic.
The F-150 still comes in four engine choices: a 3.7-liter four-valve Ti-VCT V6, 5.0-liter four-valve dual-overhead-camshaft Ti-VCT V8, 6.2-liter two-valve single-overhead-camshaft V8, and a 3.5-liter Ti-VCT EcoBoost engine. Over the past year, for the first time ever, 6-cylinder F-150s are outselling their 8-cylinder peers.
