The Ford Raptor goes from ultra-capable to extra-ultra-capable with some new additions for 2019. Starting with the suspension, Ford worked with FOX on new, electronically controlled Live Valve shocks that adjust damping on the fly. The system uses various sensors to determine the appropriate damping setting, whether it be for comfort, handling or off-road purposes. “By automatically varying compression rates, Raptor can now make the most of its suspension travel of 13 inches at the front and 13.9 inches at the rear,” says Hermann Salenbauch, global director for Ford Performance.

To complement the new suspension pieces, a new Trail Control system has been added, which acts as low-speed cruise control for off-roading purposes. The system, which operates between 1 and 20 MPH, automatically adjusts power and braking for each wheel, leaving the driver to solely focus on steering

Finally, the driver is further aided by new Recaro sport seats with increased bolstering in the seat back and cushion as well as blue Alcantara inserts and accent stitching.

The new 2019 Ford F-150 Raptor will go on sale late this year and be available in three new colors: Ford Performance Blue, Velocity Blue and Agate Black.
