Advancing Luxury - Driving the 2018 Acura TLX (VIDEO)
MotorWeek is first on the scene in Louisville, Kentucky driving the 2018 Acura TLX. Fresh off the New York Auto Show floor, the TLX sports a major mid-cycle refresh highlighted by updated styling as well as a new A-Spec trim level.
The front end drops the chrome “beak” grille for the new “diamond pentagon” design that first debuted on the 2017 MDX.
Additionally, the rear fascia receives a few sporty tweaks and now shows off dual tail pipes separated by a pronounced diffuser.
The interior gains new premium features on the Advance trim level such as a surround view camera, wireless charging and a heated steering wheel.
Powertrains carry over, but Super Handling All-Wheel Drive is now available throughout the TLX lineup, including the A-Spec. Driven by the 290-horsepower 3.5L V6, the A-Spec receives unique design cues, a sport-tuned suspension and enhanced engine sound.
When the TLX goes on sale this summer, the AcuraWatch safety system will be standard on all trims. Subscribe to MotorWeek on YouTube for more!
