MotorWeek is gearing up for the LA Auto Show and the world debut of the all-new 2020 BMW M340i and M340i xDrive Sedans.  Power comes from an updated 382 hp I-6 turbo that works with an 8-speed Sport Steptronic transmission.  The M340i is naturally rear-drive.  xDrive intelligent all-wheel drive is an option. Adding to the fun is M Performance chassis tuning and the standard M Sport rear differential.

For history buffs, the first BMW 3 Series arrived in the U.S. in 1976.  Since then it has become BMW’s most successful model, and is now in its 7th generation.  We’ll see the all-new 2020 BMW M340i and M340i xDrive Sedans at the LA Auto Show later this month.  You’ll have to wait until the summer to drive one.
