Now that the New York Auto Show is in our rearview mirror, the auto world turns its focus to China for Auto Shanghai 2017.  Press days begin tomorrow, but we’ve already found some world premieres to show you, including the newly updated 2018 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Sedan.  Of course they’re taking Drive Pilot autonomous driving a step further; supposedly the S-Class will now adjust its own speed ahead of curves.  We guess that’s a good thing?

There could be a new little brother coming to Mercedes-Benz as well.  The company is also showing the Concept A Sedan.  It clearly shows the next CLA will be heading in a much sportier direction.  That is definitely a good thing.

Over at the Audi stand, audiences in Shanghai will be seeing the world debut of the Audi e-tron Sportback concept.  Not a future vehicle per se, but a “design study and technology demonstrator”.  The design looks pretty cool to us; the technology being demonstrated is a 320 kW electric motor.  It’s safe to say Audi will soon have a full-EV and it’s probably going to be pretty awesome.

Volkswagen will debut the I.D. CROZZ crossover concept.  This is the third concept based off their new MEB electric vehicle architecture.  The interior is about the same size as the recently revamped 2018 Tiguan.  And yes, the I.D. CROZZ can drive itself with VW’s I.D. Pilot autonomous driving.

Auto Shanghai 2017 runs through April 28.  We’ll keep you posted on what’s revealed.
