Several automakers introduced some of their newest models at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show. In a previous post we mentioned the Jaguar F-type Coupe would be premiering at the L.A. Auto Show.  Take a look at some of the other vehicles premiered.

Chevy Colorado

Chevrolet unveiled the all-new 2015 Chevrolet Colorado, which will redefine the midsize truck and offer real truck capability and versatility to customers who don’t require a full-size truck. The new Colorado is built with the DNA of a true Chevy truck, expected to deliver class-leading power, payload and trailering ratings. The new Colorado was developed for the North American truck customer, with distinctive design, comfort and connectivity features, including segment firsts such as available forward collision alert and lane departure warning. Chevrolet expects the Colorado to be the most powerful truck in the segment, allowing owners to haul and tow more. A 2.5L I-4 is standard, and a 3.6L V-6 is available. Each engine is tuned, tested and validated for truck use, and each features direct injection and variable valve timing to make the most of power and efficiency. Each is matched with a six-speed automatic transmission. Colorado goes on sale in fall 2014 as a 2015 model.

Subaru Legacy Concept

Subaru of America, Inc. announced the Subaru Legacy Concept at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show. The new Legacy Concept celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Subaru Legacy and provides a look at the styling cues for future Legacy models. Adorned with a custom Ocean Silver Metallic paint scheme, the Legacy Concept features a more coupe-like silhouette. The Legacy Concept is a modern interpretation of the Legacy and features a more distinguished front design with a new hexagonal grille and a sharper hawk-eye headlamp design.

Porsche Macan

Porsche celebrated the world premiere of the Macan crossover utility vehicle at the 2013 LA Auto Show. The new model compact sports utility vehicle is the automaker’s fifth model line and first entry in this segment. Macan makes a striking impression from the very beginning with its dramatic acceleration, braking figures, impressive engine power, extreme agility, and optimum steering precision. As the first Porsche in the compact SUV segment, the Macan will set new standards in terms of dynamic performance. What's more, all of these features are combined with a high level of comfort and everyday drivability.

Ford Edge Concept

Ford introduced new automated driving technologies in the Ford Edge Concept. The technologies include a push-button and remote-operated parking feature customers could use from either inside or outside the vehicle. Key attributes of the Ford Edge Concept is its sleek, sporty appearance, its capability, its fuel efficiency, and its technology that assists the driver. All of these attributes are in line with what a customer values around the world. Driver-assist technologies and semi-automated features in Edge Concept hint at a future offering even more intelligent and capable vehicles from Ford. These sensor-based technologies of automated driving will help make driving safer and more efficient.

Fully assisted parking aid, a prototype technology, lets customers park their vehicles at the touch of a button, or even by remote control. The concept builds on Ford’s current active park assist feature. It can find a perpendicular parking space using ultrasonic sensors. From inside, the driver pushes a button to activate the system; from outside the vehicle, fully assisted parking aid can be remotely activated, allowing customers to wait until the vehicle has pulled out of a tight parking spot before entering.

The MINI
