BMW is continuing to push the limits of electric mobility. The new 2019 i3 and i3s now have an electric range of 153-miles. Those extra miles are generated by increasing capacity of the high voltage battery cell to 120 ampere hours. When the i3 was first introduced in 2014 it had a battery capacity of 60Ah and an 81-mile range. Production of the 2019 i3 and i3s begins next month.
