BMW is adding Delphi to the team developing cars that will drive themselves.  Intel and Mobileye got onboard last year. They hope the partnership will lead to pilot cars later this year, and a fully automated production vehicle by 2021.

Audi is bringing more technology to the touch screen display.  They’re showing the Audi Q8 sport concept technology platform at the Google I/O developer conference in California.  Audi says their next generation infotainment system will have fully integrated Android.  Some of the new functions include Spotify, Google Play Music and Google Assistant.

The future of diesel engines is apparently up for discussion at Volvo.  Reuters is reporting CEO Hakan Samuelsson told a German media outlet, "from today's perspective, we will not develop any more new generation diesel engines".  They also report Samuelsson told them diesel would still be part of their strategy for the next few years.  Volvo plans to start selling electric cars in 2019.
