BMW 3 Series Sports Wagon Headed for US
BMW released photos of its all-new 3 Series Sports Wagon. The next generation wagon is slightly larger than its predecessor, with more rear-seat room for passengers and 10 percent more cargo space.
The cargo area includes a hidden storage area, separate partition net with four tie-down hooks, a pair of coat hooks and an extra 12-volt outlet. For the first time on a 3 Series Sports Wagon a power tailgate will be offered which can be activated at the touch of a button, either on the remote key or from inside the car. If that's not convenient enough, buyers can add the Comfort Access feature which allows you to stick your foot under the rear bumper to automatically open the tailgate.
Like the 3 Series sedan, buyers will be able to choose from a trio of trim levels including the Sport Line, Luxury Line and Modern Line. For those who want even more sportiness, the M Sport Line will also be available. The 3 Series Sports Wagon will launch in Europe later this year and arrive in U.S. showrooms spring 2013. According to BMW, Powertrain and pricing details will be announced at a later date.
