There’s hope for owners of diesel cars in Germany.  Reuters is reporting the German government will agree to software updates for around 2 million diesel cars instead of engine retrofits to cut emissions.  They report auto executives and political leaders are meeting today to work on cutting pollution in cities while keeping diesel cars on the streets.  Reuters also says Germany will make a bigger investment in subsidies for electric cars.

Americans will finally get to see BMW’s plans for the 8 series.  The BMW Concept 8 will be unveiled at Pebble Beach later this month.  The World Premier was in Italy in May.  The new BMW 8 Series Coupe is scheduled to go on sale next year.

A special Ford Raptor will help the future of flying.  Designers created the Ford F-22 F-150 Raptor.  Their inspiration came from the U.S. Air Force’s Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor fighter jet.  The truck went on the auction block.  The winning bid: $300,000.  The sale will benefit the Experimental Aircraft Association Gathering of Eagles which encourages kids to get involved in aviation.
