Hi-tech is coming to a low tech part of your car… the license plate.  Reviver Auto has installed digital license plates on fleet cars in the Sacramento, California.  The new plates are on 24 of the city’s Chevy Bolts.  The digital license plates allow the city to keep track of the movements and mileage of electric vehicles. They can also issue a signal if the car is stolen.  Beyond the typical information on license plates, these can also display messages, like public service announcements and Amber Alerts.  California was the first state to adopt the Rplate Pro.  Reviver Auto says other states are looking into the technology.
