First Full-Size Production Hot Wheels Car Offered
It’s not often childhood memories come to life. For those of you who spent the better part of your early years collecting and racing Hot Wheels®, Chevrolet is about to make your dreams come true. Early next year, the iconic toy will arrive in showrooms in the form of a full-size, production Camaro Hot Wheels® Edition.
Paying homage to the diecast version, the Camaro Hot Wheels® Edition features Kinetic Blue metallic paint, 21-inch black wheels outlined in a red stripe, and the Hot Wheels flaming logo on the grille, decklid and fenders. The interior includes red-stitching on the seats and red-accented floor mats. The only thing that seems to be missing is the grooved orange track!
Available in coupe and convertible models, the Camaro Hot Wheels® Edition is offered with either a 323-horsepower, 3.6-liter V6 or a 426-horsepower, 6.2-liter V8. Both engines come in a six-speed manual or automatic transmission.
Chevrolet says the Hot Wheels package will cost $6,995. No word on how many of the limited edition cars will be produced.
