Ford is charged up about electric vehicles.  They revealed more information about seven vehicles powered by electricity for the global market.  They include a hybrid version of the F-150 pickup which will be available in 2020.  Ford also has plans for a hybrid Mustang debuting in 2020.  Meantime, Ford will expand the Flat Rock Assembly Plant in Michigan to build high-tech autonomous and electric vehicles along with the Mustang and Lincoln Continental.

Faraday Future is one step closer to delivering on its plans. The company unveiled it’s first production vehicle, the FF 91, at CES 2017 in Las Vegas. They say it offers a range of 378 miles, and claim, "peak motor power is...1050 HP, delivering a record-breaking 0-60 mph time of 2.39 seconds." Check out this teaser video they released:

A new choice is coming for connectivity on the road. Ford and Toyota are establishing SmartDeviceLink Consortium.  The idea is to manage open source software for smartphone app development for vehicles.  It will also create more choices for consumers while traveling.  The technology is based on Ford’s AppLink software.
