Kia is sharing its vision for the future.  The company revealed the Niro EV Concept in Las Vegas. They say it could get 238 miles of driving range.  This is just part of their strategy.  They plan to launch an all-new Kia fuel-cell EV in 2020, and 16 electrified vehicles with hybrid, EV and FCEV power by 2025.

Toyota is teaming up with several companies to tap into what mobility will be like down the road.  The company announced a new mobility service business alliance.  The idea is to create vehicles using Toyota’s Mobility Services Platform, while collaborating with companies.  Alliance partners include Amazon, Mazda, Pizza Hut and Uber.  The group is working on developing the new e-Palette Concept Vehicle, which was unveiled at CES.

While MotorWeek is gearing up for the North American International Auto Show in Detroit next week, we’re also looking ahead to the Work Truck Show.  That’s where Chevrolet plans to reveal the all-new 2019 Silverado 4500HD and 5500HD. The show runs March 6-9 in Indianapolis. Chevrolet expects the trucks will go into production in late 2018.
