If you’re shopping for a utility, and haven’t quite found what you’re looking for there are two more to consider.  Chevrolet is bringing back the Trailblazer.  At first glance it shares some of the styling cues as the new Blazer with its Camaro inspired front fascia.  The Trailblazer will find a space within the GM line-up between the Trax and Equinox.   Chevrolet is not sharing the specifications yet.  We do know the new Trailblazer will have standard active safety features including Front Pedestrian Braking, Automatic Emergency Braking and Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning.  The 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer is expected in dealers in early 2020.

At the same time, Buick is adding the Encore GX.  That will be their fourth utility.  It will be larger than the Encore and smaller than the Envision and Enclave.  We’re getting a few more facts on this one.  Buick says cargo space will be almost 5 cubic feet larger than the Encore and about 3 cubic feet smaller than the Envision.  Buick is just one example of how important utilities are to car companies with almost 90 percent of U.S. Buick sales coming from SUVs.  The all-new Encore GX is due in dealers in early 2020.
