Honda Motor Co. is to recall 19,197 2014 Acura MDX sport-utility vehicles in the United States. The SUVs, equipped with all-wheel-drive, have up to four bolts that attach a propeller shaft to a universal joint that may not have been tightened properly.  Over time the bolts could loosen and potentially fall out, causing the shaft to detach.  Honda is asking vehicle owners return their vehicles to local dealerships so that mechanics can inspect, tighten, and or replace the bolts used to secure the propeller shaft.  Having the vehicles inspected can prevent damage to the vehicle, and  the posibility of a crash.

Honda will begin notifying consumers of the recall soon.
