There’s a new contender in the stable of luxury SUVs.  The Lamborghini Urus made its world premiere in Italy.   This SUV is staying true to its super car DNA with a 650 hp 4.0 liter V8 twin-turbo engine, 0-62 time of 3.6 seconds, and up to six different driving modes.  Santa won’t be bringing one of these this year.  The new Lamborghini Urus arrives in the Spring of 2018 starting at $200,000.

The Los Angeles Auto Show is underway, and Lexus is already thinking ahead to Detroit.  The luxury brand has released this teaser of a concept crossover.  They call it the Lexus LF-1 Limitless, and describe it as “a flagship crossover”.  It will be one of vehicles we’ll be watching for at the 2018 North American International Auto Show in Detroit next month.

California could join the effort to ban cars that run on fossil fuels.  Bloomberg is reporting California Assembly member Phil Ting plans to introduce a bill next month that would only allow vehicles that do not emit carbon dioxide to register with the state’s motor vehicles department.  His proposal would go into effect in 2040.  China, France and the U.K. already have similar plans in place.
