Mazda is Awarded Best Car Brand by U.S. News & World Report
U.S. News & World Report has announced the winners of their 2016 "Best Vehicle Brands" Awards. These awards were created to recognize vehicle brands with the best overall performance in the Car, SUV, Truck and Luxury categories.
“The U.S. News Best Vehicle Brands convey quality, experience and credibility, and can ease purchasing decisions when shopping for a vehicle,” says Jamie Page Deaton, managing editor of Best Cars at U.S. News. “Consumers have an overwhelming number of factors to consider when comparing cars. These awards help to simplify one part of the shopping experience by highlighting the top brands in specific vehicle categories.”
Mazda received positive reviews and was awarded Best Car Brand. The 2016 Mazda3 tied at No. 1 in the U.S. News Compact Car rankings, and the 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata, was awarded the No. 1 spot in the Sports Car rankings. Honda takes the 2016 Best SUV Brand award, for its SUV lineup including the redesigned Honda Pilot, Honda CR-V and the new Honda HR-V. Ford earned the 2016 Best Truck Brand award for the F-150, and continues to lead the evolution of pickup trucks. Porsche wins the 2016 Best Luxury Brand award. According to U.S. News reviewers said the new models live up to the performance aspect of Porsche’s brand heritage and impress consumers with opulent interiors and the connectivity features that today’s luxury buyer demands.
The winners are chosen using the "Best Vehicle Brands" methodology, using the combined overall scores from the U.S. News Best Cars rankings across all models in each of the award classes. The overall rankings score is based on an analysis of published, credible reviews of a given model from the automotive press, as well as safety and reliability data.
