The holidays may have your attention for now, but Mercerdes-Benz is thinking beyond that. We’re learning what to expect at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. That’s where we’ll see the world première of the new Mercedes-Benz CLA. This teaser photo is giving us a glimpse of a sleeker coupish design. The CLA will also feature an evolved MBUX infotainment system.  Mercedes says along with the three touch interfaces, and voice recognition, their sophisticated personal assistant will be able to identify requests based on movement. The advancements come a year after Mercedes first revealed MBUX at CES. The new A-Class sedan was the first in their line-up to be equipped with the new technology.

We’re also looking for the US premiere of the Mercedes-Benz EQC. Their first purely battery-electric production model has an electric range of more than 280 miles. Power comes from two electric motors at the front and rear axles with a combined output of 402 horsepower.

We expect to get a close-up look at the Vision URBANETIC concept. The idea is autonomously transporting passengers or cargo on an electrically driven chassis. We’ll also be watching for the latest on Daimler Trucks' strategy for automated trucks.

The Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas runs January 8-11 2019.
