MotorWeek's Greg Carloss is first on the scene in Napa Valley, California driving the refreshed 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid. With this new model-year comes more dynamic styling, including hybrid-specific blue accents in the headlights and tail lights.

Honda tinkered with the two-motor hybrid system, which features a 2.0L Atkinson cycle 4-cylinder, boosting overall horsepower to 212.  More stringent EPA emissions standards caused the Accord Hybrid's highway rating to drop below the 2014 model's impressive 50 MPG, but the overall rating improves to a segment-leading 48 MPG.

A smaller lithium-ion battery leads to a slight, yet appreciated bump in cargo capacity.

A standard Accord Hybrid now comes with Honda Sensing, which includes Lane Keeping Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control and Collision Mitigation Braking.

The 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid is on sale now with a starting price of $30,000.
