In a stunning reversal of fortune, Nissan Motor Company Chairman and architect of the Nissan-Renault-Mitsubishi alliance, Carlos Ghosn, has been arrested by Japanese authorities for under-reporting his income and for using corporate assets for personal use. Automotive News further reports that Nissan Motor Company will most probably fire Ghosn for his misdeeds. Also arrested and likely to lose his job is company executive Greg Kelly, who it is alleged was involved in the deception. The charges cover a period of 2011 to the present.
