Nissan has introduced a revamped 2016 Nissan Altima mid-size sedan. The reveal was hosted by Nissan’s chairman and CEO Carlos Ghosn in New York City. The Altima is Nissan's best-selling vehicle in North America and a mainstay in the family sedan class.

"Altima has experienced five consecutive years of sales growth, the only vehicle in the mid-size sedan segment to do so, with sales growing more than 60 percent since the start of the economic recovery in 2009," said Ghosn. "With this new, redesigned 2016 Altima, we expect to be more competitive in the marketplace."

While not totally redesigned, the new Altima has been significantly enhanced for 2016, including a new exterior and interior styling. The 2016 Altima also includes more advanced technology and connectivity, a new Altima SR sports model, and new safety features such as segment-exclusive Predictive Forward Collision Warning (PFCW). With the addition of the new SR model, the 2016 Altima is available in a choice of seven models.

The new 2016 Nissan Altima will hit dealer lots in November. Look for the complete MotorWeek Road Test of the 2016 Nissan Altima soon.
