It’s been a full day of reveals at the New York International Auto Show.  The new models keep rolling out.

Hyundai showed us their redesigned 2018 Sonata.  Some of the changes include a cascading grille and slim taillights.  The mid-size sedan will come with Blind Spot Detection with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert as standard equipment.

The 2018 Kia Rio is appearing before it’s first American audience. The options now include a sedan or 5-door. Autonomous Emergency Braking will be available as a safety feature.

Porsche gave the New York audience four cars to see.  The Panamera Sport Turismo seats five and has a larger tailgate and luggage compartment.

The 680-horsepower Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid is the most powerful Panamera model ever.

For something a little more sporty, Porsche brought the 500 horsepower 911 GT3.  The engine is based on the one now used in 911 race cars.

The Porsche 911 line is growing with five new GTS models. They give you a variety of choices…coupe or cabriolet… rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.  They arrive in dealers this month.

Jaguar is also thinking about a sporty ride with the unveiling of the F-TYPE.  The all-aluminum two-seater has a 295-horsepower four cylinder turbocharged engine that will take you from 0-60 in 5.4 seconds.  It goes on sale this spring… just in time for warm weather driving.

Maserati shed light on the “Nerissimo” Black Edition Ghibli.  The special treatment includes black wheels, window trim and grille.  They’ll only make 450, and they’ll all go to the United States and Canada.

Luxury brand Genesis is looking into the future.  They revealed the GV80 concept.  It’s their first SUV.  They want to give it a plug-in hydrogen fuel cell powertrain.

Seeing all of these new cars at the New York International Auto Show was great, but driving them is even better.  When we do we’ll show you on MotorWeek.
