It looks like there’s a new record for driving the world-famous Tianmen Road in China.   A Range Rover Sport SVR raced through the 99 turns in 9 minutes 51 seconds.  Right now it’s an unofficial record, but that’s 40 seconds faster than the previous record.  Land Rover says they used a standard production 567-horsepower 5.0-litre V8 supercharged SVR model.  Here’s the video, watch for yourself.

We’re on a wild ride of auto shows.  Next up: New York International Auto Show.  That’s where we’ll see the production version of the 2019 Acura RDX.  We showed you the dynamic looking prototype at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit just a few months ago.  This third-generation Acura RDX will get a new 2.0L VTEC Turbo engine and a  10-speed automatic transmission. There will also be an RDX A-Spec, which is the first time an Acura SUV will be available in a sport appearance variant.  Press days for the New York International Auto Show are later this month.

We’ll also be watching for the 2019 Toyota RAV4.  The all-new, fifth-generation of the compact crossover will make its world debut at the New York International Auto Show.
