Tesla is trying to raise some cash.  Reuters is reporting Tesla will raise about $1.5 billion in bonds for production of the Model 3.  The first 30 of the compact electric cars were handed over to employee buyers a little more than a week ago. CEO Elon Musk has said they’re averaging over 1,800 Model 3 reservations per day.  Tesla says deliveries to non-employees will begin during the final months of this year.

Mazda could soon show a new source of power under the hood.  Motoring is reporting Mazda will reveal their homogenous charge compression ignition technology.  They expect to see it at a technology forum in Frankfurt in a few weeks.  Motoring saying the new engine will be in the next generation Mazda3 next year.
