Toyota is stepping up the pace of automated driving.  They’ve joined with Aisin Seiki Co. and Denso Corporation to form a new company called Toyota Research Institute-Advanced Development.  The goal: “accelerate software development in a more effective and disruptive way”.  This new company will be located in Tokyo.  An exact location is still being decided.  The Toyota Research Institute, Inc. has been operating in North America since 2016.  That facility researches artificial intelligence, automated driving, and robotics.

Lamborghini is giving us another reason to look forward to the Geneva International Motor Show next week.  They’re promising something new from the Lamborghini Huracán Performante.  It’s only been a year since the 640 horsepower 5.2-liter V10 debuted in Geneva.  Since then it’s been setting records at tracks around Europe.  There’s widespread speculation Lamborghini will unveiled the 2019 Huracán Performante Spyder in Geneva. We’ll see on march 6, 2018.
