MotorWeek's Ben Davis was first on the scene at the national press launch of the 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia.  This long-awaited sport sedan is the second vehicle to join Alfa's U.S. lineup, after the 4C re-launched the brand here in 2014.

The top-spec Giulia Quadrofoglio model comes with rear wheel drive only and a 505 horsepower 2.9 liter bi-turbo V6 engine. Lesser Giulia Ti and Giulia models come with an all-new all-aluminum 2.0 liter 4 cylinder turbo with direct injection and optional all-wheel-drive.

The Giulia Quadrifoglio is the most powerful Alfa Romeo ever and has a 0-60 time of 3.8 seconds (est.).  The 2.0 turbo is no slouch either, with a 0-60 of 5.1 seconds (est.).

Ben came away impressed, saying that in a market where some competitors have lost a true driving experience, "Alfa is laser-focused on bringing it back, ten-fold. And the Giulia is definitely that."
