For 2017, the 6th generation Volkswagen Jetta becomes a little more refined, cementing its spot as the least expensive way to enjoy the German-designed sport sedan experience of being light and agile, yet compliant enough for everyday driving chores.

Most of the changes for VW’s compact four door are under its conservative skin.

Base S trim adds a rearview camera.  SE trims add Volkswagen Car-Net App-Connect technology, and Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Traffic Alert.

Both S and SE roll with a 150-horsepower 1.4-liter turbocharged inline 4-cylinder. Jetta SELs add 20-horses more from a 1.8-liter turbo-4.

The 2017 Volkswagen Jetta is on sale now starting at just under $18,000.
