Amid all of GM’s recent recall news comes something we can actually cheer about. Cadillac has announced the starting price for the sleek 2015 ATS Coupe is $38,990 including destination charge for the 2.0-liter turbocharged car.  As is typical for the auto industry, having fewer doors does not mean a lower price. The ATS Coupe rings in at about $5,000 more than the ATS Sedan, but a couple of grand less than a comparable BMW 4 Series. Like the sedan, the ATS Coupe rides on a 109.3 inch wheelbase yet is slightly longer overall and shares almost no sheet metal with the four-door. The Coupe’s extra length helps to enhance the speedy appearance adding a swept-back look to the front and rear end appearances. As the ATS Sedan was MotorWeek’s Drivers’ Choice Pick as Best Sport Sedan for 2013, we naturally have high expectations for the Coupe.

Be sure to watch our roadtest coming later this summer as 2015 ATS Coupe hits showrooms.
