Hyundai has released pricing information for their 2022 Kona crossover SUV lineup, including the all-new Kona N, which will start at $35,425 after destination fees included.

The Hyundai “N” line of vehicles offers more performance-oriented experiences and, keeping with that trend, the Kona N is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cyliner engine, a step above the base model’s 1.6-liter 4-cylinder. Paired to an N-exclusive 8-speed dual-clutch transmission and a front-wheel-only drivetrain, the Kona N is projected to output 276 horsepower and 289 lb.-ft. of torque.

To go along with the bump in displacement and power, the 2022 Kona N will offer a suite of street-track addons: custom drive modes, N-Corner Carving and an active sport exhaust harmonising to the same pops and gurgles from the Veloster N. The corner-carving feature employs an electronic limited slip differential to distribute power to each wheel accordingly during intense cornering.

The N is standard equipped with various driver assistance features, such as Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping and Following Assist, High Beam Assist, blind-spot monitoring, Rear Cross-Traffic Avoidance Alerts and more.

The 2022 Kona N is the latest addition to Hyundai’s ever-expanding arsenal of their performance line, N; however, this marks the first time the N lineup has manifested itself in an SUV.
