Chevrolet will launch a special Corvette 70th Anniversary Edition for the 2023 model year.

As the name suggests, the limited edition package commemorates 7 decades of the iconic sports car. Available on the Stingray 3LT and new Z06 3LZ coupes and convertibles, these special trims will stand out thanks to a variety of exterior and interior exclusivities, including two unique exterior colors: an all-new White Pearl Metallic Tri-coat or Carbon Flash Metallic. The former can be optioned with Satin Gray stripes; the latter with Satin Black.

The 70th Anniversary Edition rides atop a unique set of wheels-- finished in the familiar black and red Z06 color scheme-- with commemorative wheel center caps. Those wheels shield the Edge Red brake calipers. Another small detail is the special exterior badging and Corvette crossflags adorning the body.

Inside the Stingray, the cabin is accented by red stitching and seatbelts. Driver and passenger will sit in either two-ton Ceramic leather GT2 or Competition Sport Seats, with sueded microfiber inserts; the material carries over the steering wheel. That steering wheel, along with the sill plates and seats, will display the 70th Anniversary Edition logo. All 2023 Corvettes, even those without this special package, will display a special interior plaque on the center speaker grille, as well as a graphic imprinted on the lower rear window.

The car is powered by either the standard 6.2-liter V8, capable of 490 horsepower, or the 2023 Z06’s 5.5-liter flat-plane V8, naturally aspirated and capable of displacing 670 horsepower. With a 0-60 mph time of 2.6 seconds, Chevrolet claims the 2023 Z06 to contain the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 in production. Redline sits at a screaming 8600 rpm-- that’s 2-grand higher than the standard Stingray. On the 70th Anniversary Edition, that power plant is shielded by a special Edge Red engine cover.

The 70th Anniversary Edition comes with a rear bumper protector and trunk cover; quite apt, as customers will also receive a custom luggage set-- with red stitching and the Anniversary logo-- with their ‘Vette.

The 70th Anniversary Edition package will be available as an option when production on the new 2023 Corvette starts later this year.
