Mitsubishi became the first carmaker to unveil an all-new vehicle, the 2022 Outlander utility, by live streaming on Amazon Live. Sharing engineering from the brand's partner Nissan and their Rogue crossover, the 4th generation Outlander is thus new from the wheels up and promises to be a new value king among middle-weight SUVs. The latest Outlander feature's the brand’s Dynamic Shield styling theme that is most evident in the extremely bold front facia, which includes some visual kindship to the legendary Montero SUV. A strong, blocky body form goes along with that, as do optional 20-inch wheels. The interior, on the other hand, is clearly designed to pamper the family with exceptional detailing, standard 7-seat three-row seating, and available entertainment features such as 10-speaker Bose audio, wireless charging, and both Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay. Motion is derived from the Rogue's 2.5-liter engine rated at 181-horsepower. Power transfer is by way of a CVT transmission with standard drive mode selector, fitted to either front or all-wheel drive. Look for the new Outlander to arrive in showrooms this spring.
