The 2022 model year waves the flag for the final lap of the Audi TT RS in the US market; to commemorate a decade of RS in the US, a special Heritage Edition has been announced.

The 2022 Audi TT RS Heritage Edition will be available in a limited production run of 50 units, ten of each of the five special colors: Alpine White, Helios Blue metallic, Stone Gray metallic, Tizian Red metallic and Malachite Green metallic. Each of these exteriors is complimented by a special interior color palette and stitching.

Standard features include 20-inch 5-spoke wheels in bi-color anthracite finish, alcantara steering wheel and shift lever, sport exhaust, electric spoiler/ rear wing delete, and a 174-mph top speed limiter.

Special rear quarter glass etching denotes the TT RS’s unique firing order: 1-2-4-5-3. It is underscored by the recognizable “quattro” namesake scribed underneath.

The heart of the TT RS is the special 5-cylinder engine Audi has used to power the model; however, this engine was missing from the Audi lineup for approximately 30 years. It wasn’t until a petition, signed 12,000 times via social media, was presented by Audi of America to bring the TT RS to the US market in 2012. With it came the legendary 5-cylinder engine.

The first two model years each saw 1,200 RS models outfitted with the motor and a six-speed manual gearbox-- the final manual transmission to be offered in any Audi RS model globally.

Fans of the roadster will be pleased to know that the TT (and TTS) model will live on in the US market; however, the 2022 Audi TT RS is expected to become a collectors piece, much like the original returning models of 2012-13.

Following destination charges, the 2022 Audi TT RS will retail for $74,245; Heritage Edition models for $82,495.
