BMW opted out of press preview days at the North American International Auto Show this week, but is still making news with the introduction of an updated 6th generation of their flagship 7 Series luxury sedan. Launching in April 2019 as a 2020 model, the new 7 Series will offer turbocharged 6, 8, and 12-cylinder gas powertrains, as well as a new 6-cylinder plug-in hybrid electric version. Exterior and interior design tweaks are evident from almost every viewing angle, with a taller front end and enlarged kidney grill with active cooling vanes being most evident.
