Regular production of the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray began on Monday February 3, 2020 at General Motors Bowling Green Assembly in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Initial vehicle shipments to dealers are expected to begin in late February or early March. The first car, a black-on-black coupe, already has a home, however, as NASCAR team owner Rick Hendrick paid $3 million for VIN 001 at the Barrett-Jackson auction two weeks ago.  All proceeds from that auction go to the Detroit Children’s Fund charity.
