Genesis, the luxury automaker offshoot from Hyundai, has opened its first standalone dealership in the United States.

The retail location is located in LA-- Louisiana, that is; specifically, the city of Lafayette. As any dealership experience would be, Genesis of Lafayette allows prospective buyers to browse the automaker’s available lineup and speak with salespersons specialized in said brand. Other benefits include at-home test drives booked online and vehicle delivery services.

Genesis dealerships are said to incorporate infrastructure necessary to support the upcoming portfolio of electrified Genesis models. This location may be the first, but not the last for Genesis. Six more dealerships are currently being constructed and twenty more dealerships are currently in the initial planning stages.

Currently, many Hyundai dealerships serve as a hub for prospective Genesis buyers to select their vehicles. This is likely to remain the status quo until more Genesis-specific dealerships arrive; even then, we’d hedge our bets on most Hyundai locations being able to place orders.

To celebrate the grand opening, Genesis Motor America and Genesis of Lafayette presented a $15,000 donation to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Acadiana, marking the continuation of the Genesis Gives initiative. This program supports science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics education, as well as sports and athletics programming. Since its launch in November 2021, Genesis Gives has contributed more than $300,000 to various causes in the US.
