GMC’s Yukon SUV will now sport the Denali Ultimate trim for the 2023 model year.

The Denali trim is regarded at GMC’s most premium and overtly luxurious options; however, the Denali Ultimate takes that a step above with additional features, such as the trailer-capable Super Cruise driver assistance suite. While the Yukon helped create the Denali name, this is the first time the Ultimate trim will grace the GMC utility.

Super Cruise capabilities are one of the Ultimate’s primary selling points, allowing for hands-free operation of the vehicle on compatible North American roads. This system is also trailer-capable, meaning operators can tow hands free with Super Cruise; the same technology is present on the 2022 Sierra 1500 Denali Ultimate pickup.

The interior of the Yukon Denali Ultimate is unsurprisingly premium, boasting 16-way power and massaging front seats wrapped in full-grain leather in all three rows. The Alpine Umber interior is also complimented by open-pore Paldao woodgrain trim. An 18-speaker Bose surround sound system is also present, including head restraint-based speakers for front row occupants. Sound can be controlled via the 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment unit. Said unit features full smartphone integration and available Amazon Alexa.

The 2023 Yukon Denali Ultimate is powered by a standard 6.2-liter V8 or an available Duramax 3.0-liter Turbo Diesel engine. Either powerplant is paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission. The SUV is supported by standard Magnetic Ride Control, Air Ride Adaptive Suspension, and Active Response 4WD.

This “Ultimate” SUV is expected to go on sale this fall.
