Jaguar has released a surprising new edition for their F-PACE utility: the SVR Edition 1988.

The 1988 Edition pays homage to Jaguar’s racing heritage; specifically, the “1988” refers to the 1988 24 Hours of Le Mans, where Jaguar’s victory was secured by an XJR-9 LM after completing 394 laps-- which is also why the SVR 1988 Edition will be limited to 394 global production units.

The most notable change is the paint: an exclusive Midnight Amethyst Gloss lacquer, complimented by Champagne Gold Satin 22-inch wheels on all four corners. Exterior and interior details are covered in Sunset Gold Satin, including vehicle badges and scripting. The 1988 is outfitted with the SVR’s “Black Pack” as standard, including Gloss Black mirror caps, brake calipers, and the “R” on the SVR badging.

Living up to its performance history is the engine: Jaguar’s 5.0-liter V8, supercharged to dish out 550 horsepower and displacing enough power to complete 0-60 mph runs in 3.8-seconds; it tops out at 178 mph. And staying true to Jaguar’s luxurious expectations, the interior features many premium amenities, such as a panoramic roof, head-up display, wireless charging and Amazon Alexa integration.

“Since its introduction in 2019, the Jaguar F-PACE SVR has established itself as a highly characterful and rewarding high-performance car,” Mark Turner, Commercial Director of Special Vehicle Operations, Jaguar. “Pairing these qualities with a level of SV Bespoke personalization and exclusivity never offered before on F-PACE makes Edition 1988 an even more captivating proposition. With strictly limited availability, we’re confident this will quickly become the most sought-after F-PACE SVR yet.”

The Jaguar F-PACE SVR Edition 1988 is available for order through dealers now. Its starting MSRP is $111,150, which includes the $1,150 destination fee.
