Jeep has opened orders for a special (RED) edition Renegade SUV available for the 2022 model year.

The (RED) Renegade starts life as a Latitude-trimmed model, finished in one of four exterior paint options: Alpine White, Black, Colorado Red or Sting Gray. No matter which color, the (RED) is outfitted with Colorado Red mirror caps and a body-colored roof, black roof rails, darkened 19-inch Granite Crystal wheels, and the Renegade’s usual assortment of matte-black grille surrounds, fender arches, side skirts and fascias.

The interior is made of black cloth bucket seats with Ski Gray stitching, Ruby Red speaker and vent bezels, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel, console and shifter. The infotainment system is Jeep’s Uconnect 4 8.4-inch touchscreen display, coming with built-in navigation. A Dual-Pan Panoramic Power Sunroof can be added for $2,295. A Convenience Group package adds an 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats and steering wheel, rain-sensitive wipers, a windshield wiper de-icer, and other goodies for $1,595.

The vehicle utilizes the Renegade’s 4x4 system, powered by a 1.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. It is paired to a nine-speed automatic transmission. The aforementioned 4x4 system is aided by a disconnecting rear axle and Power Transfer Unit, affording the Renegade a better fuel economy rating. All Renegades are equipped with a variety of standard safety options, like Forward Collision Warning and Active Braking, Blind Spot Monitoring, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keep Assist, and more.

This unique model is made in partnership with (RED), an organization founded in 2006 which partners with globally recognized brands to create contributions for the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. The organization was originally created by famous musician Bono and former Santa Monica mayor Bobby Shriver.

“The Jeep brand is uniting with (RED) and several Stellantis brands to help fund life-saving health programs around the world,” said Jim Morrison, senior vice president and head of Jeep brand North America. “A percentage from the sales of every Jeep(RED) Renegade and Jeep(RED) Compass special editions will help support the critical work of the Global Fund and the fight against pandemics.”

Jeep, Ram and FIAT first partnered with (RED) in September 2021 as part of a three-year commitment. Every (RED) special edition vehicle will benefit the group.

The 2022 Jeep (RED) Renegade is available alongside the (RED) Compass; the (RED) Renegade can be had for $31,185 after destination charges are applied.
