Lamborghini has taken their revival of the legendary Countach to the streets for the first time.

The Countach LP1 800-4 was first unveiled on August 13, 2021, at the annual Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. During its latest outing, the new Lamborghini was joined by two very important forefathers: the first Countach LP 400 and the last Countach 25th Anniversary.

The Countach LPI 800-4 utilizes a 6.5-liter V12 engine complimented by a 48-volt electric motor mounted directly to the transmission. The gasoline engine alone outputs 780 horsepower, but the new Countach is able to reach its total 814 horsepower with the extra 34 horsepower boost from the electric motor. The motor is powered by a supercapacitor, which allows for triple the power output of a lithium-ion battery of equal weight.

In reference to the name “LP 112,” the internal project name of the original Countach, the LPI 800-4 will be limited to 112 units, all of which were already sold before it's presentation.

The first deliveries are expected to start in the first quarter of 2022.
