Having the 2021 New York International Auto Show canceled out from under them did not halt Lincoln from launching a significant refresh of the Navigator, the largest and most prestigious SUV series in their fleet. Both the Navigator, and stretched Navigator L, sport a bolder front and rear look, and a revised interior with new passenger pleasing features. In addition, the new Navigator gets the brand’s ActiveGlide hands-free driving system. Similar in concept to GM’s Super Cruise, ActiveGuide allows hands-free driving on highways already stored in its computer.  Navigator second-row passengers will now enjoy both heated and ventilated seating as standard. There is also a new Lincoln Play entertainment system that includes wireless streaming capabilities. Destined to face stiff competition from both Cadillac’s Escalade and Jeep’s new Grand Wagoneer, the 2022 Lincoln Navigator will begin arriving in showrooms at the first of the new year.
