There’s more catching our eye at the Tokyo Motor Show.  Like this Toyota GR HV SPORTS concept.  Toyota GAZOO Racing influences are obvious.  There’s a targa top like the one we remember from the Supra.   Toyota says a sports car can also be eco-friendly.  The battery for this hybrid is mounted near the center of vehicle for improved performance.

Toyota is also thinking big with the Tj CRUISER.  They’re combining the roominess of a van with the design of an SUV.  The next-generation TNGA platform is expected to be underneath, and powered by a 2.0-liter engine and hybrid system.

Mazda brought two concepts to the Tokyo show.  We’ve been following the teaser photos for their new KAI CONCEPT.  The reveal is giving us a much better view of the compact hatchback.  The power will come from Mazda’s next-generation SKYACTIV-X gasoline engine.

The Mazda VISION COUPE is turning heads.  Clearly a coupe design, but there are four doors.  The elegant styling was inspired by one word: speed.
