It’s time to hit the road again – at least vicariously – as MotorWeek takes viewers on a special virtual road trip. Join Host John Davis for a 30-minute mini-adventure as MotorWeek Goes for a Drive. This special production, Davis says, “…is dedicated toeveryone who is following guidelines and staying home during the COVID-19 crisis.” To help fill everyone’s desire to return to the open road, MotorWeek Goes for a Drive takes a cruise from Annapolis, Maryland to Kent Island, Maryland. The drive starts near State Circle and the Maryland State House, continues through the historic streets of the state capital Annapolis, across the U.S. Naval Academy Bridge over the Severn River to Route U.S.50, and onward to the Kent Island side of the historic twin-span Chesapeake Bay Bridge. Using multiple camera angles from our long-term Porsche Macan, and with a minimum of commentary, MotorWeek Goes for a Drive is the closest thing to actually being behind the wheel while staying safe.  “Leave the driving to us,” Davis declares, “and let’s see some wonderful Maryland scenery together.”

The full episode airs exclusively on Maryland Public Television on Wednesday April 22nd at 7:30pm but will be available on YouTube for non-Maryland viewers at the same time. The episode will rebroadcast on MPT at 5pm on Sunday April 26th.
