Nissan Drops Z Roadster for 2020 Model Year
Nissan has quietly dropped the Z Roadster from its lineup for the 2020 model year, leaving the legendary Z name to be carried forth by the 370Z Coupe, Z NISMO, and a 50th Anniversary Edition unveiled at the recent New York International Auto Show. The Anniversary Edition wears a unique racing-inspired red and white paint scheme that pays homage to the #46 BRE (Brock Racing Enterprises) Datsun 240Z that won multiple SCCA National Championships in the hands of American racer John Morton. The current-generation 370Z has been on sale, with minor updates, since 2009. While rumors persist of an all-new Z, no official word has been given on when that might happen.
