The Polestar 6 LA Concept edition was first unveiled on August 16th and, according to the Swedish automaker, sold out of build slot reservations within one week.

To be fair, this exclusive version of the Polestar 6 was only slated for a limited production run of 500 units. Additional build reservations for the regular Polestar 6 will open up later this year.

The LA Concept made its first appearance at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering and Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. It will incorporate key elements from the Polestar O2 concept car first shown earlier this year, available in the unique Sky blue exterior.

“The high interest from our customers shows that a stunning electric roadster like Polestar 6 has high relevance in the sportscar arena,” said Thomas Ingenlath, Polestar CEO. “The open-top-plus-electric combination is clearly one that appeals to even the most die-hard petrolheads.”

With this, Polestar is on track to launch four new EVs within the next five years; however, the Polestar 6 is a ways off, expected to launch in 2026. In the meantime, Polestar will kick things off with the Polestar 3 SUV, premiering October 2022. It will be followed by the Polestar 4 SUV coupe in 2023, Polestar 5 4-door GT in 2024.
