Porsche is no stranger to tempting customers with bespoke models and packages made to pay homage to some of the automaker's greatest hits, and that’s exactly the case with the 911 GT3 RS’s “Tribute to Carrera RS” Package.

Yes, this is the very same 911 GT3 RS we covered when it made its in-person debut last week at The Quail, A MotorSports Gathering; however, the “Tribute to Carrera RS” Package, while still a very potent performance vehicle, takes things back to the 70’s with a selection of special enhancements reminiscent of the first 911 “RS” model.

The most obvious difference is the color scheme: a non-metallic white body with Python Green across key design elements, such as the wheels, mirror caps and throwback livery. Even the large, adjustable rear wing features a Python Green “PORSCHE” graphic, “RS” proudly displayed on the outer winglets.

The interior is built to match; still largely black, but the white/green motif does appear along the dash and in the cabin stitching. The carbon sport seats rock a similar style: black with green stitching, white harness holes and a special “GT3 RS” embroidering on the headrest. The pair of seats are flanked by a python green roll cage.

The 2022 911 GT3 RS “Tribute to Carrera RS” Package is a celebration 50 years in the making, and it’s a proper reminder of the performance and sport heritage the automaker continues to possess. The package will only be offered for US customers.
