Porsche has announced two new models to top off the 718 sports car family: The 718 Spyder and the 718 Cayman GT4. Powered by a normally-aspirated 4.0 liter flat-6 engine producing 414 hp and 309 lb ft. of torque, both machines are guaranteed to induce grins all the way to their 8000 RPM redlines, and with every shift of their standard 6-speed manual transmission.  Aerodynamics are greatly improved, adding up to 50% more downforce with no increase in drag.  Suspensions are well-suited for back roads or track workouts, with Porsche's Active Suspension Management, Porsche Torque Vectoring, optional ceramic-composite brakes, and the ability to manually adjust camber, toe, ride height and sway bar settings. The rear axle is unique to these models, while the front axle is commandeered from the amazing 911 GT3. Both cars are expected to reach U.S. dealers in Spring 2020, but we will have further details and full driving impressions in just a few weeks.
