Ram Truck has pulled the curtains off the second of their latest “Built to Serve” special edition pickups, this time honoring America’s Emergency Medical Service (EMS) responders.

This limited edition truck is built on the Ram 1500, available on Big Horn and Lone Star Crew Cab models. These trucks are specially optioned to pay tribute to those in the field; though not just keeping up appearances, the truck is fit for duty, configured with the 4×4 Off-Road Group.

Starting with the exterior, expect one of two paint options: Hydro Blue and Bright White. The all-black grille and surround is joined by black bumpers and lighting bezels; the 20-inch wheels, on the other hand, are finished in Technical Gray. Black badging adorns the body, as does a “Built to Serve” decal on each rear quarter panel.

The interior will have a similar “Built to Serve” badge on the instrument panel and black chrome trim to match the darkened exterior bits. For the most part, the cabin is finished in black, though it’s bound together by blue contrast stitching. The backs of the front sport seats will feature the Modular Lightweight Load-bearing Equipment (MOLLE) webbing for the attachment of various pouches and gear in whichever configuration best serves the vehicle operator. All-weather floor mats are included as standard; optional is lockable console storage.

The truck is powered by either the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 or the 5.7-liter V8, eTorque and non-eTorque equipped. The 4×4 Group will include all-terrain tires, an electronic-locking rear axle, special skid plates all along the bottom, and front/rear shock absorbers calibrated for off-road use.

The 2023 Ram 1500 Built to Serve EMS will be made at Ram’s Sterling Heights Assembly Plant in Michigan, slated for production during the fourth quarter of 2022. Expect the truck to go on sale around this time, starting at $56,810 after destination.
