For the 2nd year in a row, non-profit Drive Toward a Cure will be raising funds for Parkinson’s AND encouraging enthusiasts to simply ‘get out and drive!’  The foundation’s 75 Days of Summer’ program officially begins on the first day of Summer, June 20th, and lasts through Labor Day Weekend – but early registration is already heating up.  The premise is to motivate motorists nationwide to enjoy summertime drives near or far, piling on the miles to win prizes and share their experiences socially, all the while benefitting Parkinson’s disease.

According to Deb Pollack, founder of Drive Toward a Cure, there is nothing more enticing and inspiring than the open road – wherever you are, and wherever you want to be.  “We started this individual, yet interactive fundraising endeavor last year when most gatherings were paused,” said Pollack. “The response was so strong, and so many enjoyed sharing their cars, photos, and wonderful scenic drives, that we decided to make this an annual effort, ensuring we continue to spread the word on ‘cars and camaraderie’ and supporting our mission for Parkinson’s.”

For a minimal $20 registration fee, entrants will be eligible for weekly random drawings with prizes including gift cards worth $100+, autographed books, racing shoes and apparel, limited edition posters and artwork, and more.  Each Instagram post an entrant creates – showcasing a Drive Toward a Cure window cling in the windshield -- earns additional weekly prize draw entries.  Additionally, entrants are encouraged to create their own fundraising page, complete with a photo of their car.  With the first $100 raised by any entrant, Mothers Polish will provide $150 worth of car detail products from their all-new ‘Ultimate Hybrid’ product line!

Throughout the program as entrants raise funds, rewards of Drive Toward a Cure apparel and other items will be earned at various donation levels. Initial registration is $20, with the ability to make one’s own additional donation, have individual or corporate sponsors, or to bring friends together safely for group drives. The first 50 registrants to enter at www.drivetowardacure.org/summer and create their own fundraising page will receive an authentic Maserati baseball cap plus goodie bag from Drive Toward a Cure.
